Welcome back to Two Navy Guys and a Novel, the blog where we talk about co-writing and publishing. Weapons of Mass Deception has been out two whole months now. We’ve sold a few hundred copies and racked up nearly 40 reviews on Amazon. We even released a companion short story called “Death of a Pawn” that puts one of our bad guys right in the middle of a real-life political assassination in Argentina.
We’ve talked about our successful Kickstarter campaign for WMD a lot. We discussed why we decided to run the campaign, updates as the campaign progressed, and we summed up with an inside look at our stats.
Our most popular Kickstarter reward was a numbered, Collector’s Edition of the novel in hardback. Well, JR and I spent all day yesterday signing, packing and shipping books to all out wonderful backers. 125 books may not seem like a lot, but when you personally sign, wrap, package and hand-deliver to the post office, it's a lot of book.
Here’s a few pictures my son took along the way:
We'll do a follow-up post on how our costs for publishing three volumes stacked up against our fundraising.
If you were a supporter, THANK YOU! We could not have done this very special edition without your support. Your Collector's Edition reward is in the mail.
JR and I have started the plotting for Book Two. If you'd like to stay updated, please join the Irregular Newsletter.
